Welcome to my 31 Days of Pumpkin blog! Glad you decided to join me as I embark on this most deliciously epic journey. I have been waiting for this moment for over a year now. My love of pumpkin rivals that of a crazed Justin Bieber groupie. I. LOVE. PUMPKIN.
Last October, my friend and I fell in love with everything pumpkin. We made and ate/drank all sorts of pumpkin recipes... pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin scones, pumpkin beer... and more pumpkin beer. So we decided it would be fun to do a challenge this fall and make 31 recipes over 31 days in October. Over the course of the last twelve months, we have collected hundreds of pumpkin recipes and narrowed it down to 31.

This isn't going to be easy. First of all, my cooking skills are not the greatest. In fact, I pretty much suck. Just ask my husband (poor guy), so I hope this challenge will be good practice. Secondly, there is a risk that I could get sick of eating pumpkin every day, but that is blaspheme and I shall be excommunicated by the glorious pumpkin gods if that happens. Thirdly, getting the motivation to make a recipes every day will be difficult, but I'm not gonna be a sissy! I accept this challenge!
Let me break it down for you...
Each day I will post a recipe with pictures, directions, ingredients, etc. and I will give my review of each recipe. I can't guarantee that each one will be good. Recipes range from savory to sweet, fancy to simple, difficult to easy, healthy to fattening, vegetarian to meat lovers, and anything in between. I wanted to create a recipe list that would have something for everyone. Please feel free to try any of these recipes and let me know what you think!
